Caroline Burns, PhD, MAICD

Founder and Managing Director

I’m inspired by the opportunities for new ways of working to unleash individual and organisational potential.

Having over 20 years business leadership experience, more than half of this earned in Asia, Caroline has earned a global reputation as a corporate real estate and workplace strategy expert.  She believes in the value organisations can achieve by aligning workplace with organisational vision and identity, and by leveraging the workplace to address critical business needs and workstyle change.

Caroline is an active contributor to the corporate real estate and business community, a former Global Board Director of CoreNet and a member of their professional education faculty.  A regular source for media interviews and speaking engagements, Caroline publishes regularly on topics related to the future of work and workplace.

Her extensive network and commitment to building long term relationships has led her to actively support the development of many young professional women through formal and informal mentoring.

She has a PhD in Organisational Strategy and Corporate Real Estate from the University of Sydney Business School, and degree qualifications in business, land economics and architecture. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Her client experience ranges across industries, cultures and geographies.  Select clients Caroline has worked closely with during her career include American Express, ANZ Bank, Bank Muscat, BHP, Bloomberg, CapitaLand, Cisco, Chevron, Citi, Deutsche Bank, GlaxoSmithKline, Gunung Sewu Group, JP Morgan, Macquarie Group, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Manulife, MGPA (now Blackrock),  Nike, SingTel and Verizon.

Shona Tay, B.BA. (M)

I’m focused on hands-on engagement with people to understand their perspective.

Shona has over 17 years’ experience in strategising, managing and coordinating complicated projects across Asia. She is a proactive change management specialist who strives to empower and educate people rather than just deliver results.

Having spent many years in Client roles, Shona knows that the hard work usually starts after a project has been completed. She understands the need for organisations to have the policies, processes and capabilities to manage and evolve dynamic work environments.  In this regard Shona ensures that operational perspectives are considered at all stages of the workplace and project lifecycle.

Shona provides clear guidance and leadership to different organisational work streams to ensure project objectives and goals are fully met.  She understands the importance of culture and context in tailoring transformation programs to stakeholder needs.  A confident communicator, Shona thrives on social interaction and creating a great user experience.
